VED and Constriction Bands

A Vacuum Erection Device (VED) may be used to initiate sexual activity by drawing blood into the penis. A constriction band is placed around the base of the penis to trap the blood within the penis and maintain an erection. Constriction bands cut off blood flow to the penis and are dangerous if used for more than 30 minutes at a time.

Typically, a VED can be purchased online from a number of retailers. There are of course varying types and you can try different options to see which is most effective and comfortable. While VEDs and constriction bands can help you maintain a normal sex life as your nerves heal after surgery, the biggest complaint is that of a cold erection.
